Favorable Conclusions to OGI Systems LTD in Patent Infringement Lawsuit

In March 2011, the panel of three experts appointed by the Belgian court submitted their final report regarding the lawsuit filed by Sarin against OGI Systems. In line with the report, the panel has announced that the conclusions are favorable to OGI.

The panel of experts confirms its first conclusion and clearly affirms that claims 1 to 15 of Sarin’s patent are null and void for lack of inventive step. The panel states that OGI’s “Marker Rough Analyser” and “Multiscope” fall within the scope of Sarin’s patent, but given the invalidity of the said patent, they conclude that there is no patent infringement.

Mr. Daniel Benjano, the CEO of OGI Systems Ltd, the world's leading company in technological solutions for the diamond industry, has proclaimed that in the near future OGI will launch revolutionary and exclusive technology, which will bring about a dramatic and wide-reaching change and transformation in the diamond industry. The upcoming revolution is predicted to be of a similar scope to that which occurred 12 years ago as a result of OGI's launching of the rough automatic marking system based on 3d planning technology.
