3D Diamond Re - Cutting
The OGI Recator program provides the most innovative method for determining the optimal yield during the polishing of the diamonds.
The advanced Recator program allows the manufacturer to fix only the relevant edge and not the entire stone. For example: if the upper angle average on top is 35.3, then the program locates the upper edge, offers to fix it alone, and calculates the least amount of waste required to do so. This reduces the waste to a minimum when the diamond is polished again.
The GIA benefits even more from the Recator program (designated for GIA FACETWARE). The program aids the diamond polisher in fixing only the part of the diamond necessary for upgrading the stone to EX. This correction influences the diamond's final grade while reducing the weight loss to a minimum.
The Recator program includes an application which presents the fixed stone in a 3-d simulation. This way the polisher knows in advance how the stone will look like when it is finished.
Software Highlights:
Measures and grades facets of both round and fancy shapes.
Analyzes stones in accordance with major labs such as: GIA, HRD Antwerp, IGI, EGL, GCAL and ZENHOKYO.
Maximizes the diamond's value by monitoring the polishing process – reaches the best possible yield by calculating the diamond's weight with respect to possible cut-grade options.
Supported by the Ogi polish program (MEGAScope).
