The New Fire Lab Standard

OGI Systems Ltd., the world leading company in technological solutions for the Diamond Industry has the honor of announcing the launching of a new Fire Lab Standart. This innovative achievement is the result of a unique technology for analysis and evaluation of the light reflection of the diamond. This technology has been implanted into various systems of our company.

The OGI Technology has been developed in the company's laboratory after extensive inquiry and has been found to be the optimum Ray- Tracing Technology. This innovation is based upon the FireTrace system that has been marketed to the Diamond Industry for several years now.

This Ray-Tracing Technology is based upon data containing a great amount of combinations made up proportionately by various factors on the diamond facet such as: total depth, table size, crown angle, crown height, pavilion angle, pavilion depth, lower-half, star length and culet.

The use of the Megascope® instrument is the first stage in the process of estimating the degree of light reflection contained in the diamond. After a few seconds, the system illustrates a graphic image of the upper and lower sections of the diamond and also the amount of light reflection projected from the geometrical shape of the diamond.

If the standard of the reflection is Excellent Fire and you wish to upgrade the brightness of the stone, it is possible to undertake a new evaluation of the stone until obtaining a perfect light reflection.

An additional option is the use of the OGF Technology found in the rough stone software, that permits a maximum evaluation of the polished stone. In other words, optimum weight and optimum light reflection can be obtained during the stage that the diamond is still in a rough condition. In addition, it is possible to achieve additional cuts from the stone's profile, making it more suitable for marketing purposes.
