Recator- New Polish Recut Software
OGI systems is developing a new program for fixing polished stones

OGI systems Ltd, the world's leading company in technological solutions for the diamond industry, continues to successfully market a program for fixing polished stones under the new name Recator.

The advanced Recator program allows the manufacturer to fix only the relevant edge and not the entire stone. For example: if the upper angle average on top is 35.3 then the program locates the upper edge, offers to fix only it, and calculates the least amount of waste required to do so. This reduces the waste to a minimum when the diamond is polished again.

The GIA benefits even more from the Recator program (special for GIA FACETWARE). The program aids the diamond polisher in fixing only the part of the diamond necessary for upgrading the stone to EX. This correction influences the diamond's final grade while reducing the weight loss to a minimum.

The Recator program includes an application which presents the fixed stone in a 3-d simulation. This demonstrates to the polisher how the stone will be finished using the new method.

According to Daniel Banjeno, CEO of OGI systems LTD, the company was the first to develop this new solution for the market and to assimilate smart methods for fixing polished stones in 3-d. The company already submitted a request a few years ago to patent this application.
