Advance laser marking system.
In 1999, OGI launched its computerized, automatic marking system. This system assists the diamond cutter in achieving a straight and accurate cutting line and helps him find the optimal yield from a rough stone. The only limitation this system had back then was that the pen markings made with the system’s help were deleted during the work process on the stone. With the launch in 1999, OGI decided to develop a laser marking system which will replace the use of a marking pen. After investing considerable thought and effort, OGI succeeded in developing the world’s best laser marking pen, which set new standards in the rough stone industry. Because the laser marking is not deleted during work, this sophisticated tool enables optimal yield and constant monitoring of the work process. Another advantage the industry gains with this system is that it prevents stone replacement during the work process, which means that stone owners can confidently send work abroad for processing and know that it is still the same diamond when they get it back.
Why OGIMarker is accurate?
The instrument scans and produces a three-dimensional picture of the rough diamond. After analysis of the rough stone and finding the Optimal diamond that can be produced from it, the computer program displays whatever must be marked on the rough stone as yellow lines on the monitor. The computer then sends instructions to the laser source, which marks the cutting lines on the rough stone exactly as they are displayed on the screen. Computer control of all stages in the stone marking process ensures that marking is highly accurate. Accurate laser marking ensures optimal yield from the rough stone, which also means maximum production profit.
